About the Accredited Training Program
Developed and delivered specifically for Health and Safety Professionals, Managers, Supervisors, JOHSC representatives, and workplace Fire Wardens
Accredited by the Institution of Fire Engineers Canada Branch to meet (and exceed) the requirements of Section 2.8 of the Ontario Fire Code.
This 1 Day - Certification program was developed and is delivered by a team of NFPA-recognized Fire & Life Safety Educators with extensive experience in the management of fire safety programs across Canada.
The program involves interactive and engaging training and allows participants to successfully implement and manage a fire safety program for an employer in Ontario, and be able to implement the roles and responsibilities required of employers within the building’s or workplace’s.
Participants must achieve 75 percent on the final exam in order to obtain the certification. Upon successful completion, a certificate with an IFE Canada seal will be issued.
The Ontario Fire Code and the Occupational Health & Safety Act requires an active Fire Safety Program in your workplace. A major component of that program is that all persons having roles and responsibilities for fire safety, clearly understand those vital roles and responsibilities - “prior” to being given any responsibilities.

Program Requirements
Participants must achieve a minimum passing grade of 75 percent on the certification final exam.
Participants must attend with a current copy of their building’s fire safety plan, approved by the local fire services within the last 5 years.
Program Execution – In-Person or Virtual Training
Participant registration is required.
Date / Time / Location details confirmed. In-person training requires a suitable space to conduct the training to both ensure a safe, and conducive learning environment.
The accredited certificate training program will be delivered by a recognized NFPA 1035 Level I Fire & Life Safety Educator.
Upon training completion of training, participants are issued a secure access code to National Life Safety Group’s Learning Management System, where they will review the training, and complete the certification exam.
Successful participants, those achieving the required 75 percent on the certification exam, are awarded a detailed certificate outlining their achievement, bearing the program details, and Institution of Fire Engineers Canada Branch endorsement details.
