HIGH-RISE: Fire Safety & Awareness Training for Residents

In Ontario, all residential building staff having roles and responsibilities within the building’s fire safety plan, are required to be trained on that plan, and their roles and responsibilities - to effectively “implement that plan” - As per Provincial and National Fire Codes.

Occupants or residents of high-rise buildings in Ontario are the only occupants in high-rise residential buildings not required to be trained. Thanks to proactive Property Managers right here in Ontario, this is changing - one building at a time.

Introducing the unique training and awareness program for “residents” of high-rise buildings in Ontario.

  • This One (1)-hour training and awareness session is delivered onsite, or virtually, and is site specific to your building’s approved fire safety plan. This engaging educational event is suitable for all ages and residents are encouraged to bring the family.

  • Residents are a vital - yet often overlooked partner of the fire safety team in your building. Residents of high-rise buildings require an “awareness level” understanding of the life safety systems and emergency procedures approved for their unique building - in advance of the next fire alarm.

  • Developed and delivered by a recognized team of NFPA 1035 Fire and Life Safety Public Educators, with vital contributions of lessons learned and best practices from Property Managers across Ontario. This interactive, and fun educational session is well received by residents.
