The program allows participants to develop the needed skills and knowledge to integrate Fire Safety & Code Compliance into their Physical Security Program.

The Program; The “Life Safety” of Security

Using a Physical Asset Protection Program (PAP) perspective, this course will emphasize the importance of protecting your facility's assets, including people, property, and information from any type of incident or emergency that could arise.

The PAP Program emphasizes an approach to identifying threats and vulnerabilities that your facility faces. It is through this approach that your organization's Fire Safety Plan and emergency procedures will be addressed.

Your Security team is in charge of every life safety system at your building, and your building’s Fire Safety Plan is the foundation of your risk management program. Learn how to both implement and manage your fire code-compliant program and protect your occupants and building operations.

This program, accredited by the Institution of Fire Engineers Canada Branch to meet the requirements under Section 2.8 of the Ontario Fire Code, will allow participants to develop the tools and foundation to successfully manage and implement the fire safety program at any facility in Ontario.  Training and development are vital components for fire code compliance.

This exciting certificate program is a ‘stamp of approval’ that a person responsible for fire safety in a building or workplace in Ontario can be used to show that the person has achieved a particular standard of excellence in their field of work, and the documentation will serve as evidence of code compliance.
